The Chief Executive of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Mr. Godwin Kudzo Tameklo, (Esq), has urged MISA Energy Ghana Limited formerly Engen Ghana Limited, to drive its operations with innovation and integrity.
He also asked the company to commit to excellence as it takes a new turn in Ghana’s evolving downstream petroleum industry.
The NPA Boss made the call during the launch of MISA Energy Ghana’s new corporate identity in Accra, a move that signifies the company’s strategic shift and renewed purpose in the oil marketing space.
“I am pleased to see a Ghanaian-owned company stepping forward with boldness and purpose,” Mr. Tameklo stated. “This rebranding must not only represent a new name or logo, but also a renewed dedication to innovation, service quality, and ethical standards.”
He further stressed the importance of maintaining high standards in service delivery, emphasizing the key words:“Quality, quality, and quality. It is the bedrock on which any successful brand is built.”
Mr. Tameklo, while applauding MISA Energy’s strong local ownership, also reminded the company of the regulator’s oversight. “As a regulator, our eyes are always on the market. We expect companies like MISA Energy Ghana to be models of best practice in service delivery and safety.”
Representing the Chamber of Oil Marketing Companies (COMAC), CEO Dr. Riverson Oppong praised MISA Energy’s bold transformation, encouraging other indigenous oil marketers to adopt similar forward-looking approaches.
“MISA Energy’s rebranding is a signal that Ghanaian companies can set the pace in quality and innovation while upholding local relevance,” he said.
The Chief Executive Officer of MISA Energy Ghana Limited, Mr. Brent Nartey, outlined the company’s renewed vision and strategic focus following the rebrand.
“This is not just a name change. We are affirming our independence, deepening our commitment to customers, and expanding our services with innovation at the heart,” he said.
A representative of the Ministry of Energy and Green Transition, Engineer Sulemana Abubakari welcomed the company’s new chapter and said the Ministry looks forward to stronger collaboration in the drive toward sustainability.
