The Chief Executive of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Mr Godwin Kudzo Tamekloe Esq., has addressed the 77th Annual New Year School and Conference, and outlined the Authority’s role in supporting sustainable development through effective regulation of the downstream petroleum sector.
Speaking on the theme “Building the Ghana We Want Together for Sustainable Development,” the NPA Boss reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment to ensuring the availability of quality and affordable petroleum products to power economic growth.
He noted that the NPA remains focused on fair pricing, regulatory compliance, and reliability in fuel supply, in line with government’s reset agenda.
The Chief Executive also announced the establishment of a Steering Committee to support the implementation of the 24-hour economy initiative within the downstream petroleum sector in line with the President’s vision.
The conference convened policymakers, academics, industry players, and religious leaders to deliberate on national development issues.
The NPA Boss commended the University of Ghana and the organizers of the New Year School for sustaining the Annual New Year School platform over the years and assured the Authority’s readiness to collaborate with academia and the private sector to advance Ghana’s development agenda.
