NPA Launches Week-Long Welfare Celebrations with Staff-Centered Activities

The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) has officially launched its annual Welfare Week celebrations with a series of activities designed to promote staff well-being, encourage entrepreneurship, and strengthen collaboration across the institution.

The launch event, which began with a breakfast gathering, was graced by management and staff.

In his remarks, the Chief Executive of the NPA, Mr. Godwin Kudzo Tameklo (Esq.), commended employees for their dedication to work and called for continued commitment to the growth of the Authority.

“Our staff are the engine that drives NPA’s success. Management is committed to ensuring a safe, supportive, and productive workplace where everyone feels valued,” he said. For his part, the Chairman of the Welfare Committee, Mr. Ernest Datey, assured employees that their welfare remains a top priority.

“The well-being of our staff is at the heart of everything we do. Management will continue to listen, respond, and provide the support needed for staff to thrive,” he said.

As part of the activities, day two featured a welfare fair which provided a platform for staff entrepreneurs to showcase their businesses.

More than 15 enterprises were exhibited, including textiles, clothing, bakery products, baby accessories, construction materials, and more.

The fair drew participation from both staff and neighboring companies, fostering a spirit of innovation and economic empowerment.

Day three highlighted the Authority’s commitment to community and environmental responsibility with a cleanup exercise carried out in collaboration with the “bus stop boys.”

Management and staff participated actively, working together to clean the frontage of the NPA premises and attend to key areas of the office building. The activity concluded successfully, leaving staff with a sense of pride and collective accomplishment.

The Welfare Week will continue with a variety of activities aimed at promoting health, teamwork, and staff engagement, underscoring NPA’s commitment to the well-being of its workforce.
