Dr. Opoku Prempeh charged the new chairman to focus on key priorities; strengthening regulatory frameworks, enhancing operational efficiencies, and ensuring that the NPA operates with the highest standards of integrity and accountability.

The Sector Minister expressed the hope that the new Chairman would bring his rich experience in leadership to bear on the operations of the NPA, the regulator of the country’s Petroleum Downstream industry.

“Mr. Ntim is not new to leadership and therefore, I have no doubt that, he has what it takes to steer the NPA to achieve its objectives for the benefit of all Ghanaians,” he said.

Mr. Ntim has a wealth of experience gained from several executive and corporate positions. He started his profession as a Systems Engineer at Electronic Data Systems (EDS Inc) in Michigan, USA, where he worked from 1993 to 1995.

Prior to that, he trained as a Programmer/Analyst at St Paul Fire and Marine Insurance Company in St Paul, Minnesota, USA.

Mr. Ntim is a product of the University of Ghana and the University of Minnesota, USA, from where he holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in French and Linguistics and an MBA in Management Information Systems, respectively.
