NAPET Ladies Climax Week Celebration with Tree Planting Follow-Up at Chipa Forest

The National Petroleum Authority (NPA), through its women’s wing, the National Petroleum (NAPET) Ladies, has sustained its commitment to environmental conservation with a follow-up tree planting exercise at the Chipa Forest.
The exercise on Thursday formed part of activities marking this year’s NAPET Ladies Week celebration.
The exercise builds on a project initiated last year, which saw members of the NAPET Ladies undertake a large-scale tree planting campaign aimed at promoting environmental sustainability and supporting national afforestation efforts.
Returning to the Chipa Forest, the women turned out in significant numbers not only to inspect the progress of trees planted during the previous exercise but also to reinforce their commitment by planting additional seedlings.
The initiative is intended to contribute to a healthier ecosystem, improve air quality, and support biodiversity within the forest reserve.
Acting chairperson of NAPET LADIES, Madam Evelyn Yeboah Mensah, highlighted the importance of continuity in environmental projects, noting that tree planting must go beyond a one-time event and evolve into a sustained effort to ensure long-term impact.
