Profile of Dr. Sheila Addo

Dr. Sheila Addo holds the position of the Deputy Chief Executive (Technical) at the National Petroleum Authority (NPA). She is an Energy Policy Strategist with a focus on energy and environmental policy formulation and implementation, as well as the management of the commercial, social, and regulatory impacts of such policies.
With over a decade of experience in influential roles at the NPA, Dr. Addo has held several key positions, including Director of Policy Coordination, Director of Projects, Monitoring and Evaluation, Head of Research and Technical Aide to the Chief Executive, Head of Planning & Research, and Research Manager. Her contributions have been instrumental in shaping and executing critical policies within Ghana’s petroleum downstream industry.
Additionally, Dr. Addo is an adjunct lecturer in Energy and Environmental Security at the postgraduate level. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Applied Agricultural Economics and Policy, a Master of Arts degree in Energy Law, a Master of Philosophy degree in Agricultural Economics, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics, all from the University of Ghana. Her specialization is in Resource and Environmental Economics.
